GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR 168
No matter who you are, what you do, or where you are, we all only have 168 hours in a week. While this can't be changed, the way that we spend those hours can.

SLEEP
The average amount of sleep an adult gets is 7 hours. Multiplied by 7 nights, that 49 hours, leaving only 119 hours left in the week.
WORK
With only 119 hours available awake, a majority of that remaining time will be spent at work. Working an average of 8 hours, 5 days a week, 40 more hours are subtracted from the total. This leaves 79 hours left for everything else.
EVERYDAY RESPONSIBILITIES
Everyday responsibilities can include the commute to work, running errands, and routine housework. Not necessarily the most fun way to be using up time. If a commute takes 30 minutes both to and from work, that makes up 5 hours, leaving 74. Running errands and routine housework like cooking, cleaning, and home maintenance takes up about another 28 hours (4 hours a day). Only 46 hours remain for anything else there is left to do.
EXTRAS
6 hours a day are left for anything extra such as socializing, exercise, relaxing, or hobbies. This time is often used for things we enjoy but that is only if every other activity doesn't encroach on it. Often work can run late, responsibilities get more taxing, and other activities last longer than expected. Other factors can also taint this normally relaxing time such as emotions left over from work and family events. Whether they be positive or negative, residual emotions left over from the workplace impact the limited time we have to ourselves.

MARTIN UTILIZATION OF THE 168 PHILOSOPHY
By utilizing the Martin values of SUCCESS, leaving work every day with a smile and positive attitude, we look to maximize the free time of every employee. Time spent away from work and with family is best enjoyed without the burden of a negative workday. We work together to form better relationships and better interactions that are constructive and diplomatic rather than negative and confrontational. This maximizes not only the time spent in the workplace, but also heightens the quality of time spent with friends and family outside of work.
