Following Edwin F. Peterson’s entrepreneurial spirit, Martin remains steadfastly innovative in solving problems in bulk-materials handling. Intrinsic to Martin’s values is our quest to make the industrial materials-handling environment cleaner, safer and more productive.

For over 70 years, we have worked to improve our global environment by controlling dust and spillage in bulk-materials handling, “going green” long before it became popular. The control of dust and spillage is not only a science but also an art; Martin has mastered both.

In 1972, Martin Engineering received the President's "E" Award for its efforts to increase United States exports.
The award included a keepsake blue and white banner and certificate of commendation signed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce.

As a result of a growing business, Martin Engineering's Neponset, Illinois manufacturing plant and offices expanded. In 1985 the south end addition was built and the north end addition (pictured) was completed in 1988.

From 1950's and into the early 1990's a rail car was part of the Neponset, Illinois facility. It was used primarily for product demonstration and R&D testing purposes.

1997 - From a list of more than 800 businesses, Loyola University Chicago and the Arthur Anderson Family Business Centers recognized and honored Martin Engineering for its innovative business practices and strategies, that successfully combine family and business to industry and community.

with improving its own capabilities and processes.

1987 - Martin Engineering through a growing global demand, established a European headquarters, Martin Engineering GmbH in Wiesbaden, Germany and later moved the operation in 1991 to Walluf. Ed Peterson's time with the company goes back to sweeping floors as a kid, to product sales, leading sales and marketing, becoming president, and CEO to Executive Chairman.

Julie Derick, Operator / Receptionist, is the friendly voice on the end of the line when Martin customers and vendors call. She has been a Martin team member over 25 years.

Martin Engineering USA - 2014

Martin Engineering - Brazil, opened originally as a sales office in 1989, Vitoria, Brazil, but with significant growth was established in 2008 as Martin Engineering, Ltda., in Campinas, Brazil. It serves as the headquarters for Martin Latin America, with business units in Mexico and Peru.
