team 6237

Martin Motion is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Neponset, Illinois that operates FIRST® Robotics Competition. Team 6237 is comprised of students from 9 area high schools (AlWood, Annawan, Bureau Valley, Cambridge, Galva, Geneseo, Kewanee, Stark County, and Wethersfield). We proudly offer a zero-cost program to our students and their families in an effort to provide equal opportunity to access the advanced STEM education we are able to offer.

In the past five years, members of Martin Motion (Motioneers) have received scholarship money, been encouraged to pursue secondary education, and secured internships at professional companies. Motioneers are being prepared for life after high school and have learned valuable real-life skills to successfully enter the workforce. Martin Motion understands that FIRST robotics is more than robots and gives every Motioneer the chance to prosper on the team. M2 also makes sure to develop a fun and safe environment that Motioneers want to come back to year after year.

"FIRST is more than robots. The robots are a vehicle for students to learn important life skills. Kids often come in not knowing what to expect - of the program nor of themselves. They leave, even after the first season, with a vision, with confidence, and with a sense that they can create their own future."
